It just like a blink of eyes, I had to say goodbye to my mid-holiday with a depressed heart. It had been usual no matter long term or any holiday, I will sure went to work at my relative place in Sitiawan, Perak. I recalled back that it had been almost seven years for each holiday I worked there. My nephew and his family are work as mobile hawker that sell fruits for almost half of their life. My uncle are owning a little shop lot that sell a lot of groceries which include daily commodities ,drinks and mainly fruits. This is my second jobs besides worked as a part-time sale for electronic. Since the shop didn't hired any worker to help, so I would need to help out from the dusk till dawn. Actually working as a seller was not as easy as imagined. For my first time experience ,I had made out a lot of mistakes during the working tenure. If I had not being scolded that day, I think the sky would raining red. However, everything had well moved up to the road after a period of time. Every day, I need to set up properly all the things with my uncle before customers came. We need to lift a big bundle of fruits to display on the track for customers to choose .After that I need to clean up all the mess and dust while keep on high alert of any people that tried to pick up something when passed by. In addition, I had to wait for turn to eat because we just can't let the shop be no people at all. But anyhow ,there were really a lot of things that I can't learnt in school.I had seen through the behaviour and manner of different social background of people when bargain, knew how to mix and communicate with different level of people and tactic used in convinced the customers. But during this holiday, I had preferred to taste the working life of a mobile hawker. This meant that we need to set up our fruit stall by the roadside or beside wet market at different locations like whether in villages or towns. The atmosphere was so nervous since this was the first time I worked as mobile worker.
We need to reach our location as early as possible to occupied the place as there were also many other mobile hawkers. If we can sold out majority of our fruits on that day, than we will need to move on to orchard to ensure our stocks were enough for tomorrow. Anyway, the revenue of a mobile hawker were not fixed. It all depends on god. If there were consecutive raining days, than we only can sign for the afflict! Thus the work for mobile hawkers were uneasy. The time was seem passed through by a snap glimpsed. It was time for me to back to the boring urban lifestyle.
